Event managed by Sangat · The Colony, Lahore · 18 January 2025
An evening celebrating the music of singer and composer Schumaila Rehmat Hussain, live at The Colony. Her songs bring Jaun Elia’s poetry into a contemporary sound; the evening combined live music with conversation about her journey and her forthcoming album, and recitations by Adeel Afzal of his own writing.
Sangat managed the event end to end: coordinating the artists, the band and the sound, and working with The Colony on the evening itself — down to the soundcheck, because the details are what make a live evening feel effortless.
Shaping the evening — screenings, performances, talks or workshops — around your audience and your space.
Booking and looking after artists, musicians, speakers and guests, before and on the day.
Sound setup, soundchecks and coordinating the band, so every performance sounds as it should.
Working hand in hand with venues such as The Colony and Marqaaz on layout, timings and the run of the evening.
Managing the event as it happens, so hosts and artists can focus on the audience.
Pairing events with conversations and hands-on sessions — like a DOP workshop after a film screening.
